We had appetizers and drinks in the restaurant section the day before. The server was amazing and the food was great. The next morning we went to the bakery side for breakfast. I was really excited about this place but left a little disappointed. They have an excellent variety of pastries and cakes. I tried a napoleon and the cream left an oily film in my mouth. I tried my boyfriends cream horn, same oily texture with the whipped cream. The service was terrible. The older woman employee behind the counter completely ignored me for 15 minutes before she helped the older woman behind me. I continued to wait patiently while this older woman made a huge purchase of pastries and breads. They than had issues with their credit card machine. The younger employee told the older employee that the issue was the machine itself not the credit card, that they needed to get the manager. The older employee became argumentative with the younger employee and refused to get the manager. She than told the old woman with the huge order to give her a different card, which was also declined because of the machine. She finally told the young lady employee to find the manager than started helping me. I got about halfway through my order when the manager came. She than abandoned my order, licked her sticky fingers, than went to speak with the manager. She blamed the young lady for not getting the manager sooner, which was her fault. The young lady took the blame like a champ. I watched the older employee go back to finish my order without washing her hands or putting gloves on. GROSS. The manager was incredibly apologetic about the credit card situation. The cakes and pastries looked delectable in there cases, but the service needs help... or maybe the older employee needs an attitude check!
Little pricey! Ended up going on the boat ride with the diver getting suited up in front of us and diving to bring up special sponges to show us it was cool. Then we're gonna head over to Mama's Greek Restaurant all u can eat includes your drink and dessert. $9.95 can't wait sounds yummy. Great day with my hubby.
This place is absolutely amazing! I've never seen so many wonderful desserts! They even have a deal where you buy 6 desserts for I believe it was $25.00......so well worth it. I went with family members and we shared all the desserts. Small so it can get REALLY crowded but totally worth it. The staff is so great that you don't stand in line long. Finding a table took a bit longer. They make great coffee as well, as long as you like it strong! If it's crowded, wander around the quaint neighborhood and then head back, you'll catch of window of open opportunity. Would highly recommend!
Great Greek culture here in America. If your into Greek design, paintings, architecture, food & amazing lighting this place is to try. The gyro was good for the price and I’m hoping to visit again to try more of the food and sit at their blue colorful bar, Thanks Hellas. (It’s a great Greek experience)
Delicious Greek food with amazing service! A little pricey but honestly it's worth it given the overall great experience and bottom line good food. Our waiter Charles was so nice and attentive, seriously the best customer service I have ever received in my life! And the location has a coastal, open air cafe feel which is wonderful during the cooler Florida weather during the holidays, all decorated with ornaments and lights. Even during the hot summer it's not too bad since it is along the water, and of course they can close their doors so you can enjoy air conditioning. This whole area is great, so many places for food, drinks, shopping, and sights. Definitely will be back at Hellas first next time though!
