The IV Insertion left several holes and such an extreme level of bruises the medic at the Mease hospital Pinellas County Jail tranfered me to was in shock. He was able to draw blood and insert an IV without causing any pain or bruising. The 2nd and 3rd hospitals i was transferred to both documented evidence of Assualt and dehydration, even though Pinellas Jail provided me with water as soon as I arrived.
(since this is the parent company, this review applies here as well)
It was my first time in this hospital and definately not the best expericience for an ER visit. I was there for total of 6 hours they run all the tests but no diagnosis no idea what is wrong. I had to leave because they did some tests at 10:00pm and by 2:00am they still had no results. The whole time I was there the doctor only seen me for 10 minutes and check on me once. None of the nurses offer water or anything. Now I am probably stuck with a high medical bill and no diagnosis. Great now to spend more money seen another doctor. Just terrible. On top of that as well they have no rooms for patient they move you from whatever they call a room because they have to put another person there. I don't like bad reviews but I felt treated less because I didn't come in an ambulance or was intoxicated like other people there that left right away and came way after me. Unacceptable.
Tarpon lyiers, thieves, kidnappers and junkies are supplied with guns, badges and the right to invade your homes, beat you to knock you out and plant drugs without any need to worry about finger prints, permanent spinal damage, causing bleeding of the brain and swelling which results in permanent brain damage. The staff at this hospital colleberat with orders from the criminal cops on everything from orders to dehydrate patients for over 14 hours, write off the injuries the police cause as minor abrasions, refuse to provide patients with the results of cat scans, xrays, forced blood tests and drug tests accrued with forced catheterization on dehydrated patients. They simply inject a large amounts of unknown and painful chemicals when they realized my bladder is empty as I told them.
9 month old son was unusually fussy to a concerning degree, so we went here. He was taken in quickly and saw a doctor. Only test performed were basic vitals (weight, heart rate, temperature). Doctor touched his stomach for 1 minute, talked to us for 5, had us wait 15 minutes or so alone in the room to monitor, and had us leave with a prognosis of 'probably just gas.' It was never mentioned what our co-pay or financial obligations would be, so i assumed insurance would cover such a quick nothingness visit. Two weeks later we get billed $1202.05 from the hospital, and another $587.00 from the doctor. $1800 billed for less than a 30 minute check, with no real tests performed is EXACTLY what is wrong with this crooked business. Because of the bloated charges, my portion was $500. I was later told (too late mind you) that if we had requested service as an uninsured, our total bill would have been less than $200. Ripping off concerned parents to pay for their new facility is a short term solution that will surely end in failure. We will never go back, and I suggest everyone else do the same. Go to an urgent care, not these thieves.
HORRIBLE FIRST EXPERIENCE. My family and i came to visit my sister, who had arrived 3 hours prior because she was in labor, they hadn't registered her as a guest. Luckily, my brother-in-law informed us ahead of time which room she was. To make matters worse, When we arrived to the eighth floor, our arrival seemed to interrupt the nurses conversation but they still managed to ask how they could be of service at which I asked to be directed to my sister's room. At that moment, a nurse walked away and the nurse, who asked to assist us, over looked us to give appreciation for what ever help that was given, which was no big deal, but immediately after turned to continue her conversation with the other nurse while me and my family stood their waiting. After being ignored we walked down the hall searching for the room and to top it all off, the very same nurse who offered assistance, walks past us in the hall as if she didn't recognize us leaving us to roam the halls. HAVE NEVER BEEN SO PISSED AT A HOSPITAL. NO HOSPITALITY. MORE LIKE A MORGUE.
Today I threw up all over room 619 and when I called the nurses aid to help mee she told me that she cannot touch the iv, then left and I hear her commenting to another cna " I am not getting involved in that'. I stayed all vomited up and had to clean up myself because there is not enough staff to take care of you. Last time on here.
