I absolutely love this beach. Unfortunately, I don't know why but they have stopped grating the sand along with getting washed up seaweed at the same time. I've been going here almost 2 years, Howard Park is almost a daily thing,,, if possible. But,, is very nasty looking more often now,

This is a nice place. That may not be a fair assessment, as we were here in the off season. I can see it getting very crowded. But, a nice little day trip to a nice little beach. $5 parking fee.

This 2017 summer was pretty bad. Why?? Why?? Why??

fantastic park in a beautiful setting. You get both wooded areas and beach on the gulf. Great place for all kinds of outdoor and water sports. Also a great place for gatherings with modestly priced shelter rentals.

Great public beach with a rental company there for things like bikes, kayaking, paddle boarding, ect. Clean bathrooms and well maintained parking. Also has playground for kids and pavilions that we didn't use. It costs $5 for parking and the equipment rental are reasonably priced. We will be back for sure!

I'm curious why y'all stopped maintaining this beautiful park/ beach.???? I'm not alone re how I feel about this. Other regulars are asking me this same question.

Nice place. Plenty of parking. Well laid out with everything to do. Beach access is easily accessible with clean restrooms. Would definitely go back.
